Valentines

Valentines day is fast approaching, and with the various activities that Loralai participates in, parties are popping up all over the place it seems. Tonight was celebrating Valentines day at Brownies.

I started to sort through mass amount of ideas on Pinterest and stumbled upon a valentine that I thought was super cute and was fairly simple. I knew I wanted to personalize it with Loralai's name so we created our own in photoshop and just printed and cur them out, purchased Starburst, and stuck them on with glue dots...easy peazy! :)

Now to find something that is good for a toddler! :)

Lil Lolo - Christmas Eve

At 4:30 this morning I can hear Loralai in the bathroom whisper singing " Santa's coming tonight tonight, Santa's coming tonight!"

Someone is excited that today is Christmas Eve! :)

Lil Lolo - Decorating a Gingerbread House

Loralai and her friends Sydney and Chloe decorated a gingerbread house today, and I think that they did a really great job!

We first took a drive over to the Bulk Barn to gather our supplies, which included loads and loads of candy (there is still lots left over even after they decorated the house and filled their bellies) and then we came back and they went to town decorating. I did make some pizzas to so that their bellies had more than just candy in it! They had a blast :) 

Lil Hud - Eating

Over the last few days we have turned a corner with Hudson's eating. He finally is trying new foods, and eating more quantity in general! This morning for breakfast he has eaten half a piece of toast, two yogurts, and a pancake! For anyone that knows Hudson this is something to celebrate!

Over the last week he has eaten a hamburger, a grilled cheese, pancake, and ham in addition to his regulars which include yogurt, apple sauce, zucchini loaf, ice cream and muffins. I am sure I am missing some other foods since he tends to try a lot more at daycare, but nevertheless I am so excited!!

So although not too much has changed since the foundation was poured, they have leveled out the land, and filled in the garage and moat! :)

Lil Hud - Daycare Shenanigans

At daycare today Hudson was minding his own business reading a book when another child I guess decided that he also wanted to read that same book, so he came over and took it from Hudson. Hudson decided that was not acceptable and sat on him! lol...then the other little boy bit Hudson on the arm for sitting on him! 

It is so interesting to see or in my case hear, how toddlers manage injustice and conflicts! 

Lil Hud - Daycare Shenanigans

Hudson is starting to feel more and more confident at daycare, that confidence is being followed by a little bit of cheekiness, but that is also because is he growing and learning, and of course testing boundaries. When I picked him up today, Carole was laughing and she said I have to tell you what he did today: while she was going out into the hall to gather some of the kids outdoor clothing, she left the half door open like she normally does, she said that a couple of little feet always follow her out and that is fine, today she turned around and saw Hudson following her out, but it is what he did next that made her laugh...he turned around at the door, and yelled out using his little toddler language and basically gestured for them to come to the door because it was open..and they ALL started coming towards the door! Carole went to the door and said no no all while laughing unbelievably at what just happened!

I think that the funniest part is that on a normal day in that room there is lots of talking, yelling, laughing, etc. going on by all the kids, but yet they all heard and seemed to understand exactly what Hudson had said to them and listened! Then of course he was being cheeky by trying to rally everyone through the open door!

This little man cracks me up!!
